What SHPU does
SHPU provides 2x daily leveraged exposure to Shopify Inc. (SHOP), primarily using swaps and options. For liquidity, it may also hold high-quality, short-term debt instruments or money market funds. The fund rebalances daily to maintain its leveraged target. If SHOP moves more than 50% adversely in a day, investors could lose all their money, but the fund seeks to prevent gains or losses over 90% in a single day. Returns over periods longer than one day will differ from 2X the return of Shopify due to compounding and volatility. The Fund does not generally take defensive positions.
